CANYON COUNTY, ID. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- On July 11, 2012, at approximately 5:53 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a four-vehicle crash west on Interstate 84, near mile post 37 in Canyon County, Idaho.
According to police, Scott Heglar, 30 of Dayton, NV, driving a 2006 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle and Dale Waite, 58 of Nampa, ID, driving a 2004 Yamaha Motorcycle were traveling west on Interstate 84 near mile post 37 and were slowing in traffic. James Brocksopp, 58 of Emmett, ID, driving a 1997 Ford Ranger did not slow for traffic. The Ford Ranger rear ended both motorcycles and side swiped a 2004 Saab driven by Michael Jorgensen, 42 of Nampa, ID. Heglar was wearing a helmet that came off of him at the time of the crash.
Police say Heglar was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Both Waite and Brocksopp were transported by ground ambulance to St. Lukes Medical Center in Nampa for minor injuries and have been treated and released. On July 21, 2012, Scott Heglar died from his injuries sustained in the crash.
