SILVER SPRINGS, NV (KRNV & Mynews4.com)- Detectives with Lyon County Sheriff's say they found the body of a woman in a vehicle in the Silver Springs area on Thursday, August 2, 2012. The victim has not yet been identified. Detectives say they are questioning friends and family.
Detectives are also looking for Tim Pennington. Pennington is being called a person of interest at this point. Tim has been living in a mobile home park in Silver Springs with his father, Ray Pennington. Ray says Tim told him he was going to Fernley, and that was the last he heard. He says he told authorties Tim was missing the day after the body was found. Ray says Tim's girlfriend Amber Jenkins has not been around for the past week but could not remember the last time he saw her.
Lyon County Detectives would not say if the body they found was Amber Jenkins.
An investigation is ongoing.
