INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (KRNV & - Police are responding to a deadly crash involving a Semi Truck in Incline Village.

Trooper Chuck Allen tells News 4 the crash happened at about 3:00 p.m. and involved a runaway ramp near Mt. Rose Highway and Tahoe Boulevard.

The victim's name hasn't been released.

The Nevada Highway Patrol tells News 4 the vehicle was an eighteen wheeler hauling composite decking materials.

Troopers say the driver tried to use the truck ramp to stop his vehicle. The truck and trailer stopped, but the entire load of building materials shifted forward crushing the entire cab and killing the driver.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

This is not the first ramp accident in that area. Back on June 23rd, 2010 a truck was launched off the end of the same runaway truck ramp, crashing into a home and killing the driver.

Not much more to say really. I saw the wreckage its just a pile of lumber and truck debris. Last year was the first year there wasn't a crash on this ramp. The problem is the angle of the ascent. it needs to come down about 10* and lengthened about 50 foot. with deeper gravel. just about every truck crack that has happened on this ramp has been fatal. or crashed into the house at the end.
