CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- On Wednesday, April 10, 2013, Neil A. Rombardo, Carson City District Attorney, said a team will analyze the evidence and reports to determine whether the death penalty is appropriate in the alleged beating death of William McCune.
A final decision does not have to be made until 30 days after a Criminal Information has been filed in District Court.
At an initial appearance held on April 10, 2013, Justice of the Peace, John Tatro, agreed with the District Attorney’s Office and ordered the Defendants to be held without bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
On April 6, 2013, the District Attorney's Office filed criminal complaints charging Michael Paul Evans, Anthony Paul Elliott aka Anthony Morris, Raul Marcos Garcia, and Makyla Lynne Blackmore with the crimes of Open Murder on a Person Over the Age of 60 Years and Burglary, as a result of the alleged beating death of McCune.
