CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Democrats in Nevada have increased their lead over Republicans as more than 41,000 voters previously classified as "inactive" went to the polls in November and rejoined the ranks of active voters.

Secretary of State Ross Miller on Monday said Nevada had nearly 1.3 million active voters at the end of November. Democrats outnumber Republicans by almost 100,000.

Percentage wise, Democrats account for 42 percent of all registered Nevada voters, while 34 percent are Republicans and 17 percent are nonpartisan. The remaining voters are registered with minor political parties.
