PAHRUMP, Nev. (AP) — Nye County deputies are looking for a 31-year-old inmate who they say escaped from his work release program over the weekend.

Authorities say Pahrump resident Jonathan Ross Moncada failed to return to the Nye County Detention Center as scheduled Saturday evening.

Moncada is described as a white man who's 6 feet tall, bald and has hazel eyes and several tattoos.

Officials say residents who see Moncada or have information about his whereabouts should not contact him and instead call the Nye County Sheriff's Office immediately.
