Reno, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Archie Bradley has been assigned to minor league camp and will start the season with the Reno Aces, according to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Bradley, who the Diamondbacks drafted in the first round (seventh overall) in the 2011 MLB Draft, enters the season as Arizona’s No. 1 prospect according to Baseball America. Bradley was also recently named the top pitching prospect in all of baseball by MLB.com.

“All it comes down to is playing baseball and that’s what’s going to get me back up here (Arizona),” Bradley said via the Diamondbacks’ twitter account today.

Last season, Bradley combined to go 14-5 with a 1.84 ERA between Single-A Visalia and Double-A Mobile. He was named the Southern League Most Outstanding Pitcher, Topps Southern League Player of the Year and a Topps Double-A All-Star last season.

A native of Muskogee, Okla., Bradley originally committed to the University of Oklahoma to play football and baseball before deciding to turn pro in 2011.
The Aces kick off the 2014 season at home on April 3 by hosting the El Paso Chihuahuas, the newest Pacific Coast League franchise. First pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m. Discounted full and partial season tickets are on sale now. For more information call (775) 334-4700.
