WASHOE VALLEY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The public is invited to join park rangers for a leisurely spring wildflower walk this Saturday, May 17, at Washoe Lake State Park.
Participants will discover some of the wildflowers in bloom -- Phlox, Daisies, Lupine among them -- on this moderately difficult, two-mile walk. Participants are encouraged to bring sturdy shoes, also.
The walk begins at the park's main boat ramp and will last from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
There is no charge for this program, but there is a $7.00 per vehicle entrance fee. Nevada residents will receive a $2.00 discount.
