Discover bird week at the Terry Lee Wells museum

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum is inviting area residents to get up close and personal with birds of prey during Bird Week this week at the museum. On July 11 and 12 join the Discovery Museum for Raptor Adventures.

Visitors can learn all about the bird's talons, beaks and the keen vision that helps make them ultimate predators during the 'Discovery for Raptor Adventures.' The event will be held Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, July 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bird week activities will also be available during regular museum hours.

Visitors during bird week will be able to dissect owl pellets, build a birdhouse, and get up close and personal with birds of prey. For more information about The Discovery please visit Nvdm.org
