Discovery Museum holding event specifically for middle schoolers

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- On Friday, March 29, 2013, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum will open its door after hours for 'The Discovery After Dark', a special event exclusively for students in 7th and 8th grade.

The Discovery After Dark will feature hands-on science experiments including a homemade hydrogen demonstration, a variety of art projects such as artistic buttons and tie dye science, a live DJ, and a Facebook photo booth so attendees can share their museum experience with their friends and family. St. Lawrence Pizza will offer a slice of pizza and a soda for $5.

Tickets for The Discovery After Dark are $10 for Discovery members and $15 for nonmembers. Tickets can be purchased online at www.nvdm.org or at the museum's admission desk during normal museum hours. Only 300 tickets for this event are available.
