RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Dolan Auto Group, with construction partner Clark & Sullivan, is set to usher in the next generation of Dolan Lexus while giving a facelift to an old automotive dealership located at 7175 South Virginia St.

“This is an exciting day for Reno,” said Mayor Bob Cashell. “I have always been grateful for the continued commitment the Dolans have for the community. It’s a privilege to congratulate them for not only creating more economic opportunity in Reno, but with this new location they’re once again stepping up as leaders and giving attention and improvement to a previously neglected area. Revitalizing thispart of South Virginia Street will positively impact all area businesses, and I know they are as excited as I am about this new Dolan location.”

The new 68,000 sq. ft. facility features a 5,000 square feet of showroom space, 40,000 sq. ft. of service area with 40 service bays, a concierge, coffee bar, business center, a variety of lounges, an outdoor terrace and  a kids’ room. The showroom sits adjacent to the outdoor terrace and will also function as a unique event space for the Dolans’ varying charitable efforts.

“Breaking ground on a new location is exciting to us for many reasons,” said Tom Dolan. “Building on our steadfast commitment to the community, this new location will help us continue contributing to Reno’s economic development while also improving the overall look of the area. It’s a privilege to be a part of.”

The building has been oriented to make a strong impression on South Virginia St., improve traffic flow in and out of the site and take advantage of the southwest views.

“This is going to be a great project for our community,” said Clark & Sullivan Construction VP Doug Browne. “The Dolan family selected local businesses to build the new Dolan Lexus, including the architect, design consultants and Clark & Sullivan as the general contractor. The Dolan family is setting a new benchmark for Lexus with attention to innovative design and quality finishes. We are all going to be impressed with the new Lexus dealership.”

In a time when a bunch of outside interests build their stores on Indian Land depriving the local community of the much needed tax revenue, the Dolan's take the lead and not only build it on city/county land, they make a much needed improvement on an old forgotten eyesore. Thank you for all you do for our community and schools Tom, greatly appreciate it!

U could tell us which "old automotive dealership" it is, When it Will open, and who really needs a 'facelift'. This maybe is nice to know, but really just free advertising (needs an edit). Plenty of 'auto row' locations need sprucing up, are we going to see wall-to-wall showrooms all the way down Ol' Virginny?
