RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- No matter what blood type you might have, donating yours can save lives. This is especially true during a holiday weekend when donations drop but the need continues.
Saturday May 24th from 9 a.m. to 12:30 P.M. there will be a blood drive at Kerak Shrine Temple. The United Blood Services encourages the community to donate if eligible. Donors must be at least 16 years old and weigh 110 pounds.
Although it is possible to donate whole blood every 56 days, most donors only give once or twice a year. An extra donation can help prevent a shortage. Willing participants can call 775-785-6621 to make an appointment to save lives.
