DAYTON, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A man fled the crash scene after hitting another car on Highway 50 Monday night.
According to Trooper Dan Lopez with Nevada Highway Patrol, a 2010 Silver Nissan Rogue was traveling westbound on Hwy 50, three miles west of Dayton, when the driver crossed over into the eastbound lane and sideswiped a 2003 Silver Dodge van traveling eastbound at 5:20 last night.
The driver of the Nissan, Leroy Butler, fled the scene.
Troopers found that the car was stolen and that alcohol could have been a contributing factor in the crash.
NHP says they eventually made contact with Butler, but no arrests have been made.
There were no injuries and no one was transported to the hospital.
The crash temporarily blocked traffic while NHP was investigating.
