RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Reno Police are warning residents about an area Craigslist scam.

According to Officer Tim Broadway, someone has listed a fraudulent post about free E-waste recycling this weekend at Commercial Row, which is a City of Reno property. The people who posted the ad do not have a city permit, and will most likely take any computer, laptops or electronic devices and extract personal information off of them.

Reno officials have requested that the post to be taken down.
