Elko man found dead from blunt force trauma

ELKO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A 31-year-old man has been found dead in a home in the 600-block of Wilson Avenue in Elko.

According to Lieutenant Ty Trouten from the Elko Police Department, 31-year-old Richard Lawson Jr. was found dead in his rented room early Wednesday morning. The homeowners where he rents his room found him, after checking on him when they thought he had overslept.

The Elko Police Department said he apparently died from blunt force trauma, with several blows to his head and face. They are still searching for a suspect.
