RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The annual Honor the Best award event celebrates the achievements of University of Nevada, Reno faculty, staff and students, and this year will also posthumously honor Milt Glick who served as the University’s 15th president from August 2006 until his death in April 2011.
The May 14 event will include the dedication of the Milt Glick Ballroom in the Joe Crowley Student Union. A portrait of Glick, commissioned through the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation, will also be unveiled.
WHAT: Dedication of the Milt Glick Ballroom, unveiling of Glick’s portrait and presentation of the University’s highest awards for teaching, research and service will all be part of the University’s annual Honor the Best event.

WHO: President Marc Johnson and Provost Kevin Carman host the event attended by faculty, staff and students.
Glick presided over the 2007 opening of the Joe Crowley Student Union and encouraged the facility to become the University’s “living room” and the hub of what he called a “sticky campus”: a vibrant university environment with activities and programming to keep students engaged and foster learning experiences outside the classroom.
