Might be worthwhile to do a survey, with a question/answer form landlords in the area can give answers to,to find out what rentals' owners have done, and will do,to make their properties worth paying rent for;Such things as the wheel chair charging outlet, ramps for better access, wider doorways, etc.,as well as how they are about dealing with other problems the renters might have-water leaks, appliances that stop working, etc. Then make the results available to the public,so prospective renters can see who takes care of business and who doesn't. The local Chamber of Commerce would be a good place to have this information.

roger - It's not the VA's responsibility. It's the rental company's responsibility. He's not renting from the VA.

Corazon Real Estate is one of the worst rental companies in town. When you move even if the place is cleaned up better than when you moved in they keep all your money and charge you more. Rental companies and landlords what the rent coming in but NO up keep.

IF YOU RENT YOU BETTER EXPECT TO KEEP UP WITH THE maintenance and special needs of the disabled such as easy access to and from including parking and special plugs to charge wheelchairs! YOU TAKE THERE $$MONEY$$ SOoo put out$ or DONT RENT... cheapDOGs just think it would have cost less than $40 to FIX this instead typical LANDLORD mentality BUT this cost them $3000.....GOOD TO HEAR this story.
