RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The Washoe Senior Center and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada are getting some much needed help from the future farmers of our community.
As part of the 84th annual Nevada Future Farmers of America Convention, 10 students are delivering boxes of dried food and produce to the Senior Center. And another 40 FFA members are helping stack and pack non-perishable food items at the Food Bank.
Students will then attend a workshop about the importance of serving the community.
The 84th Nevada State FFA Convention runs through Friday, and will host the Agriculture Mechanic Olympics today at 2PM In front of the Joe Crowley Student Union.
