RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Experiencing traffic delays this morning near the Virginia St. exits on I-80 and the McCarran and Virginia St. intersection in Reno? It's for a good reason: classes for the fall semester are now in session at the University of Nevada.

Each year, enrollment at our local university continues to grow; and this year is no different.

What is in place to assist new students and make -- what is for some -- their first week in the Biggest Little City exciting?

The university has pitched 'Super Start' tents around campus in order to offer easily accessible assistance to students. Also, the 'Taste of Reno' Food Festival begins at 11 a.m. and offers students exposure to Reno's burgeoning food culture.

As in years past, the University of Nevada also offers Campus Escort services -- to ensure students get to their destinations safely, at no cost -- starting at 7 p.m.
