FALLON, Nev. (KRNV & - The Churchill County Sheriff says after an extensive search involving even the FBI, they have been unable to confirm an alleged kidnapping victim is even a real person.

The case was reported by a man from Reno who had met this supposed woman online when she claimed to be an ex-porn star now living in Fallon.  Although he had never seen her in person, he claimed they had been dating over text messages. And out of the blue he reviewed a message saying she was taken against her will and was in a van with six other woman headed to Las Vegas.

He went to the Sherriff’s office with that several law enforcement agencies across the state and federal government started looking for the possible victims - saying it's their duty to take every tip like this seriously. In the end this possible woman texted the Reno man to say it was all a big joke. The sheriff believes had the guy not come forward he was about to be scammed for ransom money.
