South Lake Tahoe, CA (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- The city South Lake Tahoe is reporting the death of William Olazaba, who died in a traffic collision on Pioneer Trail at Ski Run Boulevard.

According to a press release from the city, SLT Police were called to a traffic collision at 1:35 am on December 15th, after a white Honda Accord, driven by 22 year old Roberto Olazaba, had collided with a gold GMC Yukon driven by 26 year old Noe Corea.

Police reports say that the Accord had broadsided the Yukon at the intersection. Three patients were transported to Barton Memorial Hospital after the accident. William Olazaba, a passenger in the Honda, passed away in the hospital shortly afterward.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this accident, but the collision is still under investigation. The collision caused a temporary power outage in the Ski Run neighborhood, but power has been fully restored to the area.
