Fatal Train vs. Pedestrian near HWY 395 Overpass on 4th Street

UPDATE 12:17AM- Reno Police say one person is dead after being struck by a train and are currently investigating the incident.

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) – According to Reno Police a pedestrian was struck by a train near the Highway 395 overpass on 4th Street.  The incident happened just after 11:30 PM Friday night, July 18th.

It is unknown at this time of the condition of the pedestrian.

News 4 is on scene and will bring you the latest information as it becomes available.

This makes about 4 deaths by train in just one month in the Reno area. We don't need gun control, we need train control.

People the cabs of the Locomotives are heavily ARMORED to withstand just about anything they might hit to protect the crew. You won't win against them. Now just think of what that train crew has to live with knowing they can't stop in time to save some idiot on the tracks.
