CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The driver and a passenger of a FedEx triple-trailer truck that crashed on Interstate 80 in northern Nevada have been identified as two Utah men.

Sixty-four-year-old Donald Layne Flora of Kearns, Utah, was killed when he lost control of the big-rig while trying to merge in a construction zone Friday in Winnemucca.

Nevada Highway Patrol Lt. Harold Hughes says Flora apparently hit orange barrels before the truck went off the road and rolled over.

A passenger, 66-year-old Stewart George Gunderson of Salt Lake City was injured.

Hughes on Wednesday said he didn't know the extent of Gunderson's injuries.

are the pressures that the FEDX drivers are put under to be on time that high that the drivers forget safety at the cab door. The construction around Winnemucca Nv. has been going on for Months...The work zone is clearly marked As a current CDL driver, accidents like this baffle me to understand the WHY this crash happened.
