ELKO, Nev. (KENV) -- A Fernley man was jailed on suspicion of home invasion after an Elko teenager discovered an armed intruder in her basement when she and her sister went home for lunch on Monday.

Police Captain Will Lehmann said the suspect has been identified as Erik Garcia, 26.

The arrest came after a three-hour SWAT response on Court StreeT.

Police say the intruder may have been hiding in the home where several guns were stored. Garcia was later found hiding in the basement of an Idaho Street motel a few hundred yards from the home.

Officers also recovered a shotgun believed taken in the break-in. They found the gun in a grassy hillside between the home and the motel.

No one was injured.

Kramer: Put your clothes on, back away from your computer, get a job and get out of the house for a little while. Your posts are obnoxious.

lettuce know when he is jailed Before doing all this. Try "for", or "jailed by" police, that is the correct syntax. After party at Nv4 'after the break'

Did Mr. Garcia bother to go to a federally-licensed firearms dealer and get a background check before stealing that shotgun? NO. Another example of how firearms laws don't apply to criminals...
