Fernley, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Fernley residents gather to remember 16 year olds, Alondra Rivera and Zack Dwyer.

16 year olds, Alondra (Aly)  Rivera and Zack Dwyer were found unresponsive in a parked car late Monday night, Jan. 6, 2014. According to Rivera’s parents she and Zack had been on a date that night. Lyon County deputies say the teens died of carbon monoxide poisoning after sitting in a parked vehicle that was left running in Rivera’s driveway.

Friends and family gathered to send one last message to Aly and Zack tonight, January 10, 2014. Balloons with personal notes and memories drifted across the Fernley sky, while friends and family below, supported one another.

A few of Aly’s best friends shared why they loved her so much, “She was so loud and outgoing and happy. She was really just an amazing person,” said Sara Verseeg.

While it’s a tragic loss for all of Aly and Zack’s friends, they say it has taught them a lot about life and friendship.
