FERNLEY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The City of Fernley has survived a first round of litigation in its case against the state.
Jon Ralston of Ralston Reports the City filed a lawsuit earlier this year alleging it has been shorted on tax proceeds as it's grown during the last 15 years. The suit is over the state's distribution of consolidated taxes.
A judge has now refused to dismiss the case and is allowing Fernley to move forward.
