RENO, NEV. (KRNV & MyNews4.com)--If you're interested in getting involved in the film industry, you can go to an informational meeting hosted by Film Reno Tahoe Thursday, December 12th at 4:30pm.

This is just an informational meeting, so do not bring your resumes or head shots.

There will be several people there with careers both in front of the camera and behind the scenes talking about the opportunities that are ahead for folks in the Reno/Tahoe area.

"We need these folks in Nevada to be in the movies and tv shows that come to town because Los Angeles doesn't want to bring everyone in," says Jeff Spilman from Bottom Line Entertainment.

Hundreds of people are expected at Thursday's meeting.  The meeting will be held in Room D4 of the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.  Jerry "The Beaver" Mathers will be among those scheduled to speak. It is a free event and is open to the public.
