UPDATE - 4:28PM - Douglas County Sheriff's Office is reporting the fire is three acres in size. Kingsbury Grade is closed in both directions.

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- News 4 has learned a fire is burning at the top of Kingsbury Grade, otherwise known as Nevada State Route 207 between the Carson Valley and the south shore of Lake Tahoe, according to Terry Taylor with East Fork Fire District.

There was less than one acre burning 20 minutes ago, but we are still waiting to hear on an updated acreage. The fire is producing lots of smoke, and it will probably get worse due to 35-40 MPH winds.

East Fork Fire District has requested SR-207 be closed. It is not closed at this time.
