RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The City of Reno says fire stations on Skyline Boulevard and near Somerset have temporarily closed due to budget reasons.

The City says Reno Fire Department was not replacing firefighters after they retired, causing the fire station to employ more overtime. The overtime was costing the stations too much money, and has led to the temporary closures.

Station 19, located in Somerset, was closed for 24 hours two weeks ago, and Station 7 on Skyline Boulevard was closed for 12 hours last Sunday, according to the City of Reno.
