SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Fourth of July is around the corner and South Lake Tahoe Police have a few reminders for celebrating our nation's birthday this year.

All fireworks that explode, shoot into the air or move along the ground are illegal anywhere in the state of California. If you set off these kinds of fireworks, you could be facing up to a $500 fine and a year in jail.
