CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The former director of the Nevada Legislature is joining a high-profile public relations and lobbying firm.
The Las Vegas Sun reports that Lorne Malkiewich will be director of public policy at R&R Partners.
Malkiewich is former director of the Legislative Counsel Bureau. He spent 30 years with the legislative body, where served as director since 1994 until his retirement last year.
R&R Partners say Malkiewich is not expected to lobby the 2013 Legislature that convenes next Monday.
The firm has offices in Nevada, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Denver, Washington, D.C. and Austin, Texas.
