MIAMI, FL. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Former Wolf Pack football player and Miami Dolphins defensive back Jonathan Amaya has been arrested for allegedly choking a taxi driver.
According to CBS Miami, Amaya hailed a taxi cab in Miami Beach last night and asked to be taken to a suburb about an hour away. Reports claim shortly into the ride Amaya began acting aggressive. The driver tried to drop off Amaya back in Miami Beach, and that's when the 6'2" football player allegedly put his hands around the driver's neck and started choking him.
Amaya was arrested on charges of battery. His bond is set at $1,500.
