Funeral services to be held for George Benson Webster

FERNLEY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Officials in Storey County say there will be a funeral for the Sun Valley man whose remains were found near Virginia City.

George Benson Webster's remains were found in a septic tank near Virginia City in August of last year.

Officials say they believe he's the victim of a homicide in 1980 which is still under investigation.

Webster was a decorated Vietnam Veteran and will receive military honors at Wednesday's funeral. The services start at 11 a.m. at the Fernley Veteran's Cemetery.
