Gay pride festival to be held Aug. 16-17

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Reno Gay Pride is kicking off its 17th Annual Festival this year on Aug. 16.

On Aug. 16, Reno Gay Pride will hold Comedy Night with Bruce Vilanch, a six-time Emmy Award Winner. The show starts in Sammy's Showroom at 7pm (Doors open at 6:30pm) Tickets available here.

Reno Gay Pride will hold its official Kick-off Party at Harrah's Sapphire Lounge, which includes a live DJ, GoGo dancers and a meet and greet with Bruce Vilanch from 8pm-2am.

The Reno Gay Pride Festival will be at Wingfield Park on Saturday, August 17 at 11am.

Why don't we call this what it is-Homosexual Pride Festival. We ALL know they took an honorable word that meant happy,cheerful,joyous,etc. and highjacked it to make Homosexuality sound more acceptable. I have nothing against homosexuals,but it renders them automatically disingenuous to have to mislead people to gain acceptance.
