Grant money earmarked for Las Vegas and Nevada

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- $4.7 million in Federal Homeland Security money has been given to Nevada for 2014.

In the past, the grant money would go towards emergency response teams, public safety, and first-responder training. Las Vegas will be getting $1 million of the grant money.

The other $3.7 million will be divided amongst the rest of Nevada.
