The movement is meant to encourage smokers to drop the butt for one day, and hopefully inspire a lifestyle change.
According to the Washoe County Health District, nearly 20 percent of adults in Washoe County smoke, and 23 percent of Washoe County high school students are regular tobacco users.
Health District officials say, to help you quit, stop smoking in the house or in your car, and avoid places where smoking is allowed.
