RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Northern Nevada's fastest growing brewery is celebrating after bottling its 1,000,000th beer on Thursday.

The Great Basin Brewing Company's botting maching is state of the art, and less than a year old. It produces 30-40 bottles of beer per day, two to three times a week.

Brewmasters say the rising demand for Great Basin beer throughout Northern Nevada is filtering into the Las Vegas market, as well. "It's just a milestone that makes you proud that this is by far Nevada's fastest beer-bottling machine and most sophisticated," said Tom Young. "It's just fun to see these things fly off and we have a lot of thirsty souls here in northern Nevada and they keep drinking our beer which requires to brew more and more."

Thanks to Thursday's millionth, the company is now pursuing distribution rights through the California side of Lake Tahoe, Sacramento and the rest of Northern California.
