RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- A Northwest Reno eyesore is being turned into a unique indoor shopping venue.

The old K-Mart building will soon be home to The Great Western Marketplace. The 167,000 square foot building could eventually hold more than 500 different businesses.

The development will include cafe and bar areas, plus retailers, special events, and much more. Owners say their approach is very unique, because the venue will only be open Friday through Sunday to give business owners some downtime.

"But then they're going to have 4 days remaining in that week to where they can either one make new products or help develop new services, or refine their business model," said Senior Partner Terry Naumann.

The Great Western Marketplace is expected to open in May. If you are interested in leasing a space, you can directly contact the owners through the Marketplace's website.
