Illegals in Nevada are not allowed to carry guns. Enforce THAT LAW. We keep seeing, hearing, and are victims of illegals with guns stealing our money, killing young men (Reno murders)... DEPORT illegals and any non-citizen carrying a gun.

The second amendment had been affirmed by the supreme court to apply to individuals. If you read the words of those who fought to include it, it was meant as a deterrent to tyrants. It is there to give us the power to take back the country from tyrants if necessary. It was meant to insure that the public was armed and equipped simulaly to the military so they could fight government troops. The term "assault weapon" is not in the text either. Neither is computer, radio and television in the first amendment.

I still support the Sheriff after reading all the nonsense. As US Americans, we need to stand by our law enforcement officers who are not afraid of open-carry, and the rules which allow citizens to protect themselves. Our USA is out of control and out of touch because of unknowns -- I am known. The Sheriff is known. We are practicing safety and protection and following the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I re-encourage that we as citizens stand still and remain united. The Humboldt County Sheriff voice and position statement is spot on! Yes, I carry and have bullets and open carry is allowed in my beautiful state.

Sheriff Kilgore is a hypocrite!! I can't tell you how many times cases have been thrown out of court because his deputies have violated their constitutional rights!!! This ploy of his is for political gain only!!

Good..we then will be creating more and reestablishing mental health services and outlets....especially in rural areas where they have closed due to budget slashing...and I assume Sheriff Kilgore will be a leader in the effort.

i belive that sherriff kilgore has every right to choose not ot enforce this law and i stand behind him guns dont kill people people kill people! If the president is goiong to outlaw guns than he had better do something about cars to i am an emt and i treat more people for car related injuries than guns so if guns kill people than cars do to maybe they should look at facts of statistics a little more before doing things like this i am an avid gun owner and all my kids know gun saftey right down to my fives year old they know they are not toys. I also know that if someone came in my front door my kids would not hesitate to use force. So maybe MR. PRESIDENT you should look at outlawing cars also for killing people espically vans and suvs because they can haul more people than a car i think facts should be looked at more than just jumping to conclusions. As for giving up my guns i am reminded of a bumper sticker my dad had on his truck growing up "you can have my gun when you pry my cold dead fingers from aound it"

I am Bobby Hartley and I stand by Sheriff Kilgores letter. I lived in Winnemucca out in Star City for 17 years. I am a avid gun owner and believe that children should be taught the right and wrong of gun. Guns do not kill people, people kill people. Their mental ability should be taken into view before they are allowed to purchase a weapon. Ed Kilgore, I and my wife will stand by you on your decision any day of the week. My kids and grandkids grew up around guns and know what to and what not to do. We know Ed Kilgore and his brother and family.
