UPDATE - 2:30P - A business called Reno Fire Department and reported a powdery substance with a note indicating that the substance could cause harm. Reno Fire Department tested the substance and it turned out to be Splenda.
A criminal investigation has been initiated by the Reno Police Department.
UPDATE - 12:42PM - The hazardous substance turned out to be Splenda.
RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- According to Reno Fire Department, there was a report of a possible hazmat situation at 777 Forest Street.
Reno Fire Department went on to collect samples around 11:35am.
