RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Senator Dean Heller spoke about the Telsa battery plant, saying he fears approval of a 2 percent margins tax on corporations to fund education would hurt the chances of the Silver State being selected.

Senator Heller met with Granite Construction officials Monday, who helped prepare the dirt pad at the industrial park just east of Sparks. Heller said Nevada is well positioned in the race as the only known place the electric car company has broken ground, but again is concerned about the margins tax up for vote this November.

Heller refused to say whether he thinks Governor Brian Sandoval should call a special legislative session to put together an incentive package that could compete with states like California and Texas.

If Reno screws this Tesla deal up, the ENTIRE Reno council will be out of a job for their lack of vision and financial savvy to run Tesla out of town. DON'T screw this up!
