RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A street clock with a rich history in Reno was installed at its new home in downtown today.

Crews were out on Virginia Street near the Rink on the River this morning installing this historic street clock The clock's original home was at the Park Lane Mall. When Park Lane Mall closed down, longtime Reno resident Bill Thornton says he decided he wanted to see the street clock live on in a new location.

An official dedication ceremony for the clock's new location will happen sometime next month.

Super stoked about the clock returning. However, Park Lane Mall wasn't the original location. It was 133 N. Virginia Street back in the early 1900's. It didn't get moved until Park Lane was built in 1967.
