Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Nevada Highway Patrol have reported a hit and run incident after a vehicle struck a pedestrian on I-80.

According to NHP Troopers, at around 6:21 a.m. on March 24th, officials were called to a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian on Interstate 80 near the I-580 interchange.

Troopers say a pedestrian identified as Sparks resident Derrick Colby Drake was on the freeway while intoxicated, and was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene without stopping to help, but did take enough damage to leave a large amount of window glass at the scene of the crime. Drake was taken to Renown Medical Center where to be treated for substantial injuries.

Troopers are asking anyone who witnessed this accident, or has information regarding this accident, contact Trooped Glenn Rigdon with the Nevada Highway Patrol regarding accident #130323577 at the Department of Public Safety communication center 775-687-0400.

Remember the NDOT Director Susan Martinovich hit and run in Carson City last year? Maybe it was her again.
