STATELINE, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A hit and run crash Sunday morning left a pedestrian injured. The crash happened around 1:20am.

The preliminary investigation indicates a dark-colored SUV, with unknown vehicle registration was traveling westbound on US Highway 50, and pedestrian Philip Preston Parsons, a 25-year-old, male out of Santa Rosa Calif., was traveling south in the marked crosswalk. The crosswalk was located on US 50 at Stateline Nevada, in front of the CVS pharmacy next to the Montbleu Casino.

For an unknown reason, Parsons entered the crosswalk against the red no walk signal and was hit by the SUV. The SUV continued west into California without stopping.

The road was closed for approximately 4 and a half hours. Parsons was transported to Renown Medical Center via Care Flight with non-life threatening injuries.
