RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The area's first Hobby Lobby is officially open for business. The national retail chain of craft & home decor stores opened up it's Reno location with a ribbon cutting early Monday morning.

The new Hobby Lobby is located in the old JC Penny Home Store location on South Virginia and Meadowood Mall Way. Not only does the 51,000 ft. of retail space offer plenty of selection for decorators and craft enthusiasts, it'll also bring dozens of jobs to the area.

"This store alone will have anywhere from 30-45 jobs, and during the Christmas season we could add 60 positions," District Manger for Hobby Lobby Adam Garcia said.

The Reno store is Hobby Lobby's third location in Nevada, the other two stores are in Las Vegas and Henderson.

They are the poster child for religious hypocrisy. They have no problem stocking their store with Chinese products,a country that has state mandated contraception use and government enforce abortion. Then run around crybabying about their right to deny their workers heath choices on religious grounds.Corporate scum.

I will NEVER shop here. The owners of Hobby Lobby want the right to push their religious beliefs on their employees and still maintain all the benefits of corporate ownership. Reno does not need this type of business.
