Salvation Army has probably helped as many people in one year, without all the fanfare,as the Red Cross has, because Salvation Army works to help people from day to day,not just when a disaster happens. They're ALWAYS there to help, and I can't praise them enough. Also, they consistently give the MOST of every dollar donated to the needy of all the "national" Charities I know of. NOW- Am I the only person here that's dog-tired of having to be "politically correct"? It's not a holiday tree,it's a CHRISTMAS TREE! There-I said it! It's high time we stop letting that under 10% of the population tell us we can't celebrate CHRISTMAS just because they're too thin-skinned to be satisfied with just NOT participating. If the Muslims want to celebrate one of THEIR holidays,I don't mind a bit-I encourage them to enjoy that time. Doesn't mean I want to outlaw the event,I just won't celebrate with 'em. See-THAT wasn't so tough. Politically Correctness HAD its time-let's get over it and move on. and BTW-I believe the 10 Commandments SHOULD be displayed prominently on Government buildings;after all,the desire to openly practice our own religion WAS one of the main reasons our Country came to be,why not honor that? If it offends you, don't look at it,and I promise not to get all worked up if I see a Mosque, etc. This is the CHRISTMAS SEASON! God Bless you all-whatever your particular religion (or lack of) may be! HAPPY THANKSGIVING,AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
