Honor Flight Nevada veteran passes away

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Since the first Honer Flight Nevada flight took off to Washington D.C., News 4 has been there, documenting veterans on board the trip of a lifetime. When one of those vets heads home for the last time, we are also there.

WWII Navy veteran Max "Augie" Augustine, 92, of Reno was on the first Honor Flight trip in October of 2012. He passed away on July 25.

Augustine will be honored on Thursday at Mountain View Cemetery, 435 Stoker Ave. Services will begin at 11 a.m.
