RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Hunter Falls fire is close to being fully contained.

According to a press release, 95% of the fire has been contained. There is no threat to any structures, but Hunter Lake Road, including its tributaries, and Hunter Creek Trail are still closed. No road or trail use is allowed.

Nearly 200 firefighters are working on the blaze. Four crews remain on the fire line, completing the process of improving the fire line. They are also starting the mop‐up and suppression repair of fire fighting efforts. This process is intended to minimize the effects of suppression activity and return the area to its natural appearance.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the cost to date is $710,000.
