TRUCKEE, Calif. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Interstate 80 has been re-opened to all traffic, and all chain control restrictions have been removed.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, News 4 has received word of at least one traffic collision on Interstate 80 near Donner Summit that caused traffic congestion. The confirmed crash occurred near Donner Pass Road and Lytton Lake Road, and left traffic backed up in westbound lanes. Vehicles were being re-routed at Exit 180 as a result of the crash.

The California Highway Patrol reports that a vehicle possibly hit a wall of snow, causing a white Toyota truck to veer off the road. One vehicle was stranded in a ditch.

More information on this incident will be posted as it becomes available.

Not many people anywhere(besides locals)know where "exit 180" is. Lytton Pass Road is also kinda obscure, and not an I-80 signpost. Maybe this is Y people are texting/driving? do the mapping pls. Report, don't parrot.
