Sparks, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Sparks PD report that a man has been placed under arrest after exposing himself to two 14 year old girls.
According to police, at 12:44 p.m. on March 17, police were called to the 2300 Block of Greenbrae Drive after reports of a man in a vehicle exposing himself to children walking by.
As police arrived they saw the suspect, identified as 48 year old Sparks resident Robert Joseph Jones, leaving the area in a red 1996 Chevrolet Blazer. Jones was stopped by officers and admitted to the offense. He was arrested for indecent exposure and has his bail set at $5000 dollars.
Thus far the only known victims of the exposure were two 14 year old girls from Sparks. However in their investigation police determined that Jones had been frequenting the same area in the past, as well as the area surrounding Cannan Elementary school.
The Sparks Police Department want to take this opportunity to encourage anyone who observes someone loitering in areas where children frequent to contact their local police agency.
